Standard wire-haired DTK Teckel are incredibly skilled and valuable companions. These dogs are commonly used for tracking big game, hunting activities (rabbit, badger, wild boar, fox, duck retrieving, etc.), and finding truffles.

They have a keen sense of smell and determination, making them excellent dogs at following a trail and locating big game.

As their name suggests, wire-haired Teckels have a wiry coat that protects different terrains and weather conditions. They are known for their intelligence, adaptability, and perseverance, making them an ideal choice for blood tracking tasks.
